Book R.C. to perform a solo show
R.C. is a playwright and performer whose work has graced some of Chicago's most respected stages. From intimate solo shows to full cast productions, their performances explore the intersections of race, sexuality, gender, and faith — always with honesty, humor, and heart.
R.C. Riley's solo shows are bold, intimate, and uncompromising — each one a full theatrical experience built from lived truth. From faith and desire to family wounds and hard-won freedom, these performances don't ask for permission.

This workshop invites participants into a bold, affirming space to explore the stories we've been told about desire, pleasure, and what is considered "taboo." Rooted in the belief that our full spectrum of identity is our power, we will unpack how shame, culture, and silence have shaped our relationship to sexuality — especially within BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Through guided conversation and reflection, participants will challenge inherited narratives, deepen their understanding of consent, and reconnect with their own voice as a source of truth and agency. Together, we'll move from judgment to curiosity, from silence to self-expression, and from restriction to possibility — reimagining what pleasure and liberation can look like on our own terms.

Curious about what polyamory is or where to start? This workshop offers a welcoming, judgment-free space to explore the foundations of consensual non-monogamy. We’ll break down what polyamory is (and what it isn’t), unpack common myths, discuss communication tools, navigating jealousy, setting boundaries & creating agreements that center consent and care.
-
Ready to move beyond the basics? This intermediate workshop is designed for those with a basic understanding of polyamory or those who are new to practicing polyamory and want to build stronger, more sustainable relationship dynamics. Together, we'll dive into the nuances of creating and revisiting agreements, refining communication styles, setting boundaries and establishing intentional agreements. We'll also explore the role of therapeutic support — both professional and community-based — in navigating challenges like jealousy, insecurity, and emotional overwhelm. This space invites honesty, accountability, and deeper self-awareness as tools for cultivating relationships that are intentional, ethical, and aligned. Polyamory 101 is a pre-requisite.

What happens before the touch? Before the kiss? Before anything "happens" at all? This workshop invites you into the art of the tease — where longing lingers, tension builds, and desire speaks in glances, pauses, and possibility. Together, we'll explore how to write and tell erotic stories that center anticipation over action, crafting experiences that draw readers and listeners into the delicious edge of almost. Perfect for writers, performers, and curious creatives, this space blends storytelling, sensual awareness, and playful exploration — without pressure to be explicit, only to be intentional.

Consent is more than a checkbox — it's a living, breathing conversation rooted in trust, power, and self-awareness. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore what consent actually looks and feels like in real-life intimate settings. Together, we'll move beyond surface-level definitions and into embodied practice — learning how to communicate desires, set boundaries without shame, and navigate intimacy with clarity and confidence. Through guided discussion, scenario exploration, and practical tools, we'll unpack the nuances of verbal and nonverbal consent, address cultural and societal influences that shape how we give and receive consent, and reframe it as a pathway to deeper connection and pleasure — not limitation. Grounded in a sex-positive, body-positive, and culturally responsive lens, this experience invites participants — especially those from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities — to reclaim consent as an act of agency, liberation, and self-trust.

This workshop invites participants to explore kink through creativity, curiosity, and accessibility — using everyday household items and elements from nature as tools for sensation, connection, and play. Grounded in consent, communication, and body awareness, participants will be guided through a series of interactive discussions and demonstrations that reimagine the ordinary as a gateway to pleasure. From texture and temperature to restraint and anticipation, this experience expands how we think about sensation and intimacy — without the need for specialized equipment. Participants will learn how to safely and intentionally use common objects to create a range of sensory experiences, explore the relationship between creativity, power, and pleasure, build confidence in communicating boundaries, desires, and consent, and discover accessible, body-aware ways to engage in kink exploration. This workshop centers curiosity over performance and empowerment over perfection, creating a space that is inclusive, judgment-free, and adaptable to a wide range of comfort levels and experiences. Participants leave with practical ideas, a deeper understanding of their own desires, and a refreshed sense of play — and each participant will leave with a "kink kit."
Testimonials
"I've always felt safe at R.C.'s sex-positive, body-positive kink events — and that's not something I say lightly. The care and attention to consent is real, and you can feel it in how the space is held — with tenderness, awareness, and deep respect for everyone present. Even me — a queer Pastor with body issues, past trauma, and a lot of anxiety in new spaces. I felt comfortable, seen, and genuinely at ease. And that is no small feat."— A BIPOC, Queer Pastor
"I've been lucky enough to attend several of R.C.'s play parties, and they have all been a delight — sensual, erotic, and thoughtfully curated with a clear focus on consent, communication, and creating a safe space for everyone. Even when I was brand new to kink and the play party scene, R.C. had a gift for making the space feel comfortable and exciting." — Chrissy LG, Black, Queer, Femme
"R.C. is a visionary community builder. Their single-person plays have brought me to tears literally every time. Their play parties are mindful, purposeful, educational, and always fun. They host a space of respect, boundaries, and healing — they command joyful growth with a steady hand." — David, Queer, Non-binary community member
